Sermon: the 3 levels of heaven

the 1st level of heaven: immediate atmosphere above us (1 John 5: 19, John 14: 30) e.g. atmosphere at home, church, office etc.

the 2nd level of heaven: where God's will is challenged by the evil ones. (Daniel 10: 13)

the 3rd level of heaven: where God enthrones (2 Corinthians 12: 1-2; Eph 2: 6). Christians are at the 3rd level of heaven.

spiritual warfare with the darkforce happens at 2 levels:
-personal level: blind us, make us foolish, darken our understanding, keeps men's thoughts under captivity... etc) (2 Corinthians 10_ 4-5)
-heavenly level: 1st or 2nd level of heaven

Objectives of spiritual warfare:
1. take back our spiritual authority:
Christians hv 2 types of authorities,

--delicated authority, e,g, our home, therefore we have to proclaim God's authority in our home , invite the present of God to our home so that other forces will flee from our home.

--divine authority
we take back our authority via: prayer, praise and worship (Psalm 149) and proclaimation of truth (eg. use the word of God)
we can only have this authority via purity of heart, obedient to God and prayers (2 Corinthians 7: 2)

2. to enforce Christ's victory over the earth

3. To set the captives free (Isaiah 61: 1; 2 Corithians 10: 5)


Chrisitians should understand and be aware of the scheme of the dark force:
-satan will try to discredit us, e.g. Paul (2 Corinthians 10:2)
-satan will try to discourage us  (2 Corinthians 7: 5-6)
-satan will divide us
-cause us to be disobedient to our Lord (2 Corinthians 10: 6)

if our are obedient and submit ourselves to the Lord, the devils have no hold (or authority) on us.
