Prayer and contemplation for Easter



Prayer: to know the importance of the prayers of Jesus in relation to our walk with Jesus
-Just as Jesus prayed for Himself, pray that our life will also give glory to God (John 17: 1-5)
-Just as Jesus prayed for His disciples, pray that we may also be sanctified and set apart by the truth (John 17: 15-19)
-Just as Jesus prayed for all believers, pray we may also be as one (John 17: 20-21)

Prayer for all believers:
-to know the truth that we are Christ’s redeemed, are loved and washed from our sins ( read Revelation 1: 6)
-we have been designated “kings and priests” to God (Revelation 1: 6)
-a chosen generation to proclaim the praises of Him (1 Peter 2: 9)
-we must advance the kingdom of God effectively (Matthew 11: 12)
-as recipients of God’s favour (Romans 8: 33)

Prayer: healing

-Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prosper (Read: 3 John 2)
-He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction (Palms 107: 20)
-I am the Lord who heals you (Exodus 15: 26)
-He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds (Palms 147: 3)
-Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed (James 5: 16)

Prayer: relationships
-to bear with one another, and forgiving one another (read Colossians 3: 13)
-to have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins (read 1 Peter 4: 8)
-the Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (read 2 Peter 3: 9)
-to believe on the Lord Jesus, you and your household will be saved (Acts 16: 31)
-to place a hedge of protection around them, around  their household, and delivers them from all evil (Job 1: 10)

Prayer: for nations
-we proclaim the lordship of Jesus extended to all nations (read: Matthew 28: 19)
-pray for the Lord to send forth His spirit of truth to bear witness of Himself (read John 15: 26)
-pray for Lord Jesus to shake the nations, so they will come to the desire of all nations (read Haggai 2: 7)
-let all nations be blessed through your people (Galatians 3: 8)
-let the earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord (Habakkuk 2: 14)
