Bible reading: tomorrow will worry about itself

Matthew 6: 31- 34
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Bible verses: 50 years of a nation (Jubilee): the acceptable year of the Lord

Isaiah 61: 1-2

The Year of the Lord’s Favor

61 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—

the year of Jubilee is also equated with the acceptable year of the Lord. Jesus read the scriptures from Isaiah 61: 1-2, there he declared that the acceptable year of the Lord had arrived. Then he went about healing the sick, making the lame walk, the blind to see, setting the oppressed free and offering God's salvation and forgiveness to all who repented and believed. Jubilee is a period of great favour and grace.

Bible verses: as the waters cover the sea

Habakkuk 2:14
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.

Isaiah 11: 9
They will neither harm nor destroy
    on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.
